It features our dual-zone Custom Focus Boa Closure System for unlimited, on the-fly micro-adjustability, backed by the customizable comfort and heel hold of the Custom Slide Guide, as well as Instep Flex Zones for natural ankle flexion. The Encore Pro also includes elevated V2 UltraCush with SmartWool Liners to help you stay warm, dry, and ready for your next run, dual-density V2 PopCush Footbeds for the highest level of impact cushioning with added arch support, the V2 Harness to create a more personalized fit, and lightweight and flexible V2 WaffleFlex Outsoles that combine our weight-reducing UltraCush midsoles with metatarsal flex grooves designed to improve boardfeel and natural flex.

BoaFocus Closure System - Two reels operate three specific zones of closure for the ultimate in custom fit adjustment. Unlike other Focus options on the market, all instep components have been eliminated from the Vans system to allow for the addition of asymmetrical articulation, providing additional flex to the medial side while maintaining lateral support and response.
Custom Slide Guide - Customizing the fit of your boots has never been easier or more convenient. The Custom Slide Guide’s anatomical shape provides adjustable fit anywhere along the instep area for added comfort and unmatched heel hold.
V2 UltraCush™ Liner - Features Van's adjustable and/or removable asymmetrical X-cage for a micro-adjustable fit and excellent heel hold, UltraCush interior cushioning layer, dual-density, heat-moldable core, an exterior support cage, a soft microsuede cuff/tongue, and a comfort-flex toe box.
V1 Harness - Attached to the inside shell of the boot, this is Vans' lightest and most simple harness designed to ensure effective support and heel hold by securing the liner to prevent movement.
Heat Retention 360° - All Vans boots feature a newly improved thermal retention layer that provides a 360° wrap of the toe box and between the outsole and the liner. This essential layer keeps heat in and cold out, ensuring all-day warmth and comfort.
V2 WaffleFlex™ Outsole - The WaffleFlex is a lightweight and flexible outsole that combines Vans' weight-reducing UltraCush midsole material with metatarsal flex grooves designed to improve boardfeel and natural flex.
